92 Points Vinous
The 2024 Morgon that I tasted from barrel came from the first and third pickings. There is plenty of vivacious white-tipped strawberry and Morello cherry on the nose. The palate is lively and very citrus-driven with red cherries, orange zest, noticeably "punchy" acidity and a chalky finish.
Winemaker Notes:
All our vines are located in the Morgon terroir, It is undoubtedly one of the most famous vintages of Beaujolais! Typically, Morgon presents four dominant aromas: cherry, violet, raspberry and a very light touch of licorice... Combining lightness and richness, our Morgon has an aging potential. of around ten years on average. It is worth noting that the Morgon appellation dates back to 1936, only 12 years after the creation of the first AOCs, in Arbois and Chateauneuf.
