94 Points Wine Spectator
This red offers up a gorgeous display of steeped blackberry, boysenberry and plum fruit flavors that are harnessed by racy threads of chalk and a mix of mouthwatering savory and rosemary notes. Everything knits wonderfully through the finish. Well built. Best from 2024 through 2038.
92 Points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Scents of crushed stone and red-skinned plums mark the nose of the 2017 Cornas. Medium to full-bodied, firm and tannic, it finishes long and dusty, with hints of dried herbs. Give it another year or two in the cellar and drink it over the next decade or so.
92 Points Vinous
Inky ruby. Pungent black and blue fruits, licorice and succulent herbs on the spice-accented nose. Shows good depth and breadth on the palate, offering ripe cassis and cherry flavors that take on smoky bacon and violet pastille qualities as the wine opens up. Shows surprising energy for its heft and finishes impressively long and spicy, with dusty tannins adding firming grip.
