About as old-school as Chateauneuf du Pape gets (at least in a clean style), this has all the deep texture and flavors you hope for without anything thick, hot or sweet.  Strawberry jam, stemmy gradations and dried herbs soar from the glass, leading into a full-bodied, seamlessly structured red Châteauneuf that checks out with notable persistence on the spicy finish." A great match for grilled/roasted meats, stews an anything with a bit of char on it.
