Winemaker Notes

Borgogno No Name is made from estate fruit from three of Barolo’s top Crus, and declassified in protest by one of the greatest Barolo producers of all time.

“I have chosen one of my best wine and I called it No Name as a quiet protest against the bureaucracy that afflicts Italian agriculture and the wine world.”

Made with 100% Nebbiolo, the wine was aged in oak barrels for at least three years and in bottle for at least two years. Intense garnet red color with orange rim. Ethereal, persistent, perfumed. Dry, with velvety tannins, ageworthy.
