Winemaker Notes
Darlene is a gathering of six distinct Pinot Noir expressions. Each is a voice from a different corner of the Antiquum Farm vineyard. Darlene is named after owner/farmer Stephen Hagen's mom. The wine exhibits wonderful intention and terroir-specific winemaking in this cuvée with an amazing quality/price ratio.
Bright and energetic, the gorgeous Oregon Pinot leads with a bouquet of woodland flowers, zippy raspberry, ripe strawberry, tropical citrus, and a slight confectionary tone. The wine deepens into juicy pomegranate, a sparkle of pink peppercorn, and a swirl of black tea. The lingering finish hints at vanilla-dusted biscuits and returns to a forest vibe with wisp of cedarwood. We are thrilled to offer this new wine from Stephen Hagen.
