From my perspective, the aromatic combination of black fruit and anise is a good thing. Those same features reappear on the palate with ripe blackberry and black licorice whip flavors vying with vanilla and oak spice notes for attention. There's a nice bit of acidity here to pair with silky tannins. The Perspective is one smooth ride.
