91Points James Suckling

An unusual, deep straw color for this grape (many simpler wines from which are water white!). Intense dried-pear and quince aromas are married to a wine that combines considerable presence on the palate for just 11.5% alcohol with a cool and light style. The tannins build on the restrained finish. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink now.

Winemaker Notes:

This wine is all about the joy of experimenting and bringing different components together. One part of the grapes was pressed immediately after their arrival at the estate, another part was kept on the skins for 15 hours and the third part was in contact with stems and skins for about one year. Alois Lageder combines different components in order to create a fresh, lively and precise Pinot Grigio.Straw-yellow with a red shimmer. Slightly aromatic, pronounced bouquet, fruity (melon, peach), spicy and mineral on the nose. Rich, lively, fresh, fruity and dry on the palate.Pair with starters, cold meats, all kinds of seafood and poultry.
