Les Charmes shows why it’s one of Morgon’s top vineyard sites as rich berries mesh harmoniously with a firm tannic streak and layers of brown spice and dried rose petal that unfurl seductively as the wine relaxes into a plush, weighty finish. A strong line of acidity keeps everything lively enough to wash down some charcuterie, rotisserie chicken, creamy mushroom pasta, or Thai curries with a little heat to them.
