The 2022 Secret opens with a lush, inviting aromatic profile of dried herbs and bay leaf, lifted by fresh strawberry and ripe plum, while subtle layers of warm spice and dried figs add depth.
The captivating blend of Sangiovese (40%), Cabernet Sauvignon (35%), Cabernet Franc 15%, and Syrah (10%) provides a lively burst of bright red fruits, primarily raspberries and Bing cherries. The wines' vivid acidity is balanced by a supple note of leather and a darker thread of black cherry that adds richness and dimension. The finish is extended and expressive, turning more savory as it unfolds, with lingering impressions of juicy blueberry, red licorice, and finely integrated cedar. A touch of cinnamon provides a warming, gently spiced conclusion.
