Southern Roots’ 2023 Napa Valley Rosé is a vibrant, refreshing wine that’s equally at home being sipped as a summer aperitif or being the featured guest at your table throughout the year. The vibrant salmon hue is your first indication this is a serious rosé. The enveloping nose of strawberry blossoms, white nectarines, and lavender combines with underlying whiffs of jasmine and violets. These delicate notes are underlain with a bracing minerality to set the stage for classic rosé notes of red berries, dried cherries, and a touch of soft, beguiling spices on the mid-palate. A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Malbec, aged in neutral oak barrels to soften the wine, yields a creamy texture that ensures the crisp finish is as rewarding as your first sip.
