The 2022 Pinot Noir Lola is laced with hints of orange peel, mint, sage, tobacco, cedar and kirsch. Intense floral and spice notes lend an exotic flair. There's a wonderful air of sophistication to the Lola. I especially admire its translucent personality. Lola is a blend of blocks from Gap's View in the Petaluma Gap.

A very expressive nose with aromas of crushed raspberry, sassafras and violets jumps from the glass of this Pinot. The palate is layered and juicy, with flavors of fresh, ripe strawberry, Amarena cherry and cocoa mingling for over a minute. It's a wine built for richer game-bird courses, or mushroom-laden pasta.
Winemaker Notes
Lola is named after the matriarch of the family’s pack of beloved border collies. This wine has historically been a blend, predominantly sourced from the eastern portion of the Petaluma Gap in the heart of the windy corridor. Once harvested the grapes ferment 30% wholecluster with native yeast. The wine is then aged for 11 months on its lees in 15% new French oak and the remainder in neutral. Rainier cherry, orange peel and clove with a bright and generous mouth feel.
