Winemaker Note
One of a kind in Burgundy, Blagny in the only appellation that takes the name of a hamlet and not of the village as is usually the case. Originates from clay-limestone soil with very red earth that is full of ammonite fossils. An exclusive wine, "sous le dos d'ane"; our 1-hectare parcel is the only one in this climat planted with pinot noir. It produces very nice red wines, silky and with plenty of finesse, favoring the expression of red fruit aromas that may come from Morello cherries or raspberries depending on the year, with slightly spicy notes on the finish.
