Winemaker Note
Le Ban sits on the hills south-southeast of Saint-Aubin village, a diverse multi-parcel site with vines ranging from 10 to 60 years old on clay and limestone soils. This village-level appellation offers excellent value and accessibility compared to the 1er Cru designations, capturing the essential character of Saint-Aubin's mineral-driven terroir without premium pricing. Prudhon's approach maintains consistency with his higher tiers: minimal intervention, respect for terroir, and bottling wine that ages gracefully.
