Winemaker Note
Luminous ruby color. Forest berries, spices, leather, moist earth and dried plum, layered in the aroma. Soft, round taste, well-balanced acidity and clean and persistent aftertaste. Very pleasing, and ready to drink.
Cultusboni RS Chianti Classico was created to showcase a more contemporary style of Chianti Classico made from Sangiovese alone. While some of the grapes do come from the estate, the winery also sources grapes from different areas in Chianti Classico, looking to build the complexity that comes from the many distinctive characters of Sangiovese in different terroirs. The first vintage was 1996, when the DOCG rules allowed 100% sangiovese to be used in Chianti Classico. The wine was given the name "RS" Chianti Classico, the initials of Roberto Stucchi, fifth-generation owner and winemaker.
