Dark and brooding in feel, the 2020 hits the palate with loads of black fruit, lavender, espresso and grilled herbs. Even with all of its obvious intensity, the 2019 retains terrific freshness and energy. This is such a classy and elegant wine, certainly the best yet here.

Castelprile Rosso Riserva is a refined red wine that showcases the depth and elegance of Tuscany’s winemaking tradition. Crafted from carefully selected Sangiovese and other complementary varietals, this wine is aged for an extended period in oak barrels, allowing it to develop a rich complexity and smooth texture. Previously called Prile, this is the first Maremma Toscana DOC Riserva produced by Castelprile.
