92 Points Wine Spectator
Generous and elegantly structured, with raspberry and guava flavors accented with tarragon and black tea as this moves toward refined tannins. Drink now through 2032.
92 Points James Suckling
Bright and lifted with aromas of dried strawberries, raspberry bush, red licorice and spice. The palate is medium-bodied with finely tuned tannins and a rounded mouthfeel, finishing with lots of crunchy red fruits and a savory undertone.
Winemaker Notes
The 2022 Rex Hill Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is carmine red in color and exudes true cool-climate flavors and aromas. These include red and black berries, fleshy plums, and dark cherries, along with vanilla, black tea, and baking spices like star anise and nutmeg. Secondary flavors of candied tamarind, cream soda, rose petals, cocoa, caramel, and marshmallow can also be found. The oak is well-integrated, and the symphony of flavors melds together beautifully for a round, plush, and textured palate.
