95 Points Decanter
This blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec, 6% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot, and 5% Merlot is fermented in stainless steel and aged for 19 months in 49% new French oak. The fruit is sourced from Alexander Valley, Knights Valley, and Dry Creek. The 2022 vintage showcases a powerful and rich profile with kirsch, clove, and allspice notes, complemented by floral hints of violet and lavender. Full-bodied, it boasts a dense, rich texture balanced by underlying freshness and tension. The tannins are soaring and structured, building on the finish to create a compact, spicy wine with excellent cellar potential. A beautifully crafted wine that promises to age gracefully while delivering complexity and depth.

Winemaker Notes
aptly named "Trésor" for "treasure," Ferrari-Carano presents its finest blend of the five classic Bordeaux varietals – Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Merlot – selected from exceptional vineyard blocks in Knights, Alexander, and Dry Creek Valleys.
The 2022 Trésor opens with aromas of cedar, molasses, cola, cassis, and a hint of clove. The palate is full, with silky tannins adding depth to layers of plum jam and toasty dried cherry scones.
Trésor complements lamb and beef that is roasted or braised. Pair with beef stew, filet mignon, a maple bacon cheeseburger, grilled flank or sirloin steak. Try Trésor with strong-flavored cheeses like Gorgonzola or sharp cheddar.
