Winemaker Notes
The Rivetti family, who long ago achieved fame with La Spinetta in Piedmont, found their Tuscan terroir for Vermentino in Terricciola. Sandy soils of marine origin, interspersed with ocean sediments, characterize this white wine with its unmistakable minerality and saline freshness. The vines grow at an altitude of 250 meters with a southeast exposure and are cultivated organically. After manual harvesting, the must ferments spontaneously with natural yeasts, after which the wine ages for three to four months on the fine lees in stainless steel.
Straw yellow with greenish highlights, on the nose, Mediterranean scrub, white flowers, citrus, and a hint of pine resin. Lively acidity on the palate, salty minerality, and a finish that reveals its proximity to the Mediterranean. A Vermentino with crystalline precision—perfect with fish, seafood, or a classic pasta with tomato sauce.
