Mouth filling, generous but well balanced, this full-bodied wine wafts brown butter, toasted almond and baked apple aromas, followed by a rich palate of ripe fruits and subtle oak spices backed by gentle acidity. It is spot on for a Russian River Chard.
Winemaker Notes
The grapes in this bottle come from the Russian River Valley with just enough space between the vineyards and the coast to allow for perfect ripening and that little touch of salinity from the cooling Pacific breeze. Making fantastic wines of great personality since its founding in 1993, Hartford's track record for crafting beautiful wines is long and impressive.
The 2021 Hartford Court Four Hearts Chardonnay is generous and well-balanced, showcasing the wonders of Russian River Valley Chardonnay. The wine is full-bodied with gorgeous aromas of brown butter, toasted almond, tangerine, and orange blossom. The palate bursts with perfectly ripe fruit like Meyer lemon, granny smith apples, and yellow apples. Layers of oak spice and crystallized ginger shine through as the wine opens and everything is kept bright and lively with a solid acid backbone.
