Notes of cherries, cassis, peonies and rich spices preface the 2020 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Murgers, a medium to full-bodied, velvety and concentrated wine that's lively and penetrating. Like its 2019 predecessor, it's especially seamless and charming.

The 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Murgers 1er Cru has a beautifully-defined bouquet with vibrant black cherry and raspberry fruit, rose petal and light sous-bois aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fine acidity, fleshy and focused with good substance on the finish. Very fine.

The 2020 Murgers chez Méo is every bit as refined and promising as the Boudots. The bouquet jumps from the glass in a complex and sappy combination of sweet dark berries, cassis, spit-roasted gamebird, dark soil tones, woodsmoke and cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and shows off beautiful mineral drive on the backend, with a sappy core of black fruit, seamless tannins, bright acids and lovely focus and grip on the long, complex and classy finish. This is going to be a beautiful wine. (Drink between 2035-2080)
