PRESALE: ETA 10/16
91 Points James Suckling
Generous black-cherry and wild-blackberry fruit is wrapped around gentle tannins on the medium-bodied palate. Good length, showing plenty of licorice and a touch of tar in the long finish. Very straight with excellent freshness. From organically grown grapes.
Winemaker Notes
Named "Mistral" in reference to the wind that crosses the Rhône valley, this vintage is characterized by a subtle blend of spices, freshness, and fruity notes.
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby color that hints at its generous fruit profile. The nose is open and inviting, with aromas of ripe red and dark berries, Mediterranean herbs, and a touch of peppery spice. The palate is juicy and full-bodied, with soft tannins, a warm core of fruit, and a lively savory finish. Grenache brings roundness and richness, while Syrah adds structure and spice, creating a well-balanced wine with enough freshness to stay engaging. It is enjoyable now and should hold well over the next few years.
