Winemaker Note
The 2023 Cadrans de Lassègue boasts a magnificent, intense, and brilliant ruby color. On the nose, aromas of black fruit—blackberry and blackcurrant—are immediately apparent, with a lovely freshness that evolves into subtle notes of violet and spice. The palate is vibrant, fruity, and balanced. With tannins already wellintegrated, the long, mineral finish testifies to the quality of the clay-gravel-siliceous soils of our vineyards. This vintage of Cadrans de Lassègue can be enjoyed now and for the next ten years.
Located on the Côte de Saint-Émilion, the vineyards of Château Lassègue are blessed with both extraordinary soils and an ideal south/south-west exposition to the sun. In discovering the unique micro-crus of the property, Vigneron Pierre Seillan realized he could produce more than one wine to showcase the diversity of the estate. Primarily a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, Les Cadrans de Lassègue, the estate’s second label, is refined and elegant, a beautiful and perfect expression of its fruit.
