95 Points Jeb Dunnuck

Eight takes on a darker profile, with wet stone, blackberry, pepper, and grilled rosemary. Full-bodied, it brings more structure, with ripe tannins, iron-rich earth, and kirsch as well as fresh lift on the finish. Drink 2025-2035.

94 Points Wine Enthusiast

Wonderful violet and rose petal aromas lead to juicy black cherry and black currant flavors in this medium- to full-bodied, lightly tannic wine. Its concentrated fruit core keeps pumping out delicious berries through the sip and the lingering finish. Best from 2025-2032.

Winemaker Notes

Sporting shades of deep purple not normally seen from this thin skinned varietal, this Pinot Noir from the high elevation slopes of the Sonoma Coast opens with restrained notes of sweet spice and sandalwood before adding layers of dark berry compote and toasted vanilla. Dense and immensely concentrated, the palate offers superb structure surrounded by youthful notes of juicy blackberry, black tea, and sous-bois.
