A lush, showy style, with yellow plum and plush apple notes taking a creamy, mouthfilling turn on the palate. Verbena-edged acidity and a racy mineral vein keep the tension pulsing throughout. Baking spice details and a waft of smoke hover on the long finish, with a kick of salt and grapefruit pith. Drink now through 2028. 1,000 cases made, 200 cases imported.
 
Winemaker Notes
Jean-Louis Chave "Circa" is a blend of old-vine Roussane planted in Mauves on granitic slopes. It is the only white made by Jean Louis that comes from granitic soil. The first vintage produced was 2009 after the purchase of a historic St. Joseph domaine. The wine has made such an impression on Jean-Louis that he continues to plant more Roussanne.
