91 Points Wine Enthusiast

Blended from three separate sites, this rich and fragrant young wine grabs you by the throat and doesn't let go. Ripe cherries, pie spices, green herbs and lemon rind flavors combine to cover all the fruit-acid-tannin bases. Already well-integrated, this potent wine should improve further over the coming years.

Winemaker Notes

The Nouvelle Lune (New Moon) is a blend of Jay and Ronda Somers' favorite Dundee Hills AVA Pinot Noir sites. They work with Abbey Ridge, Bella Vida, and La Colina to produce this exceptional elegant terroir-driven Pinot Noir.

The new moon signifies a new phase in Jay and Ronda's winemaking adventure. They are getting back to their roots by producing small quantities of focused and elegant wines from the best vineyard sites in the Willamette Valley.

The Pinot Noir was 100% destemmed and fermented using native yeast. Malolactic fermentation occurred naturally. Wine matured for 20 months in barriques (25% new). It was bottled without fining or filtration.
