94 Points Vinous
The Seven Springs Chardonnay from Evening Land is one of the wines that has tipped the Eola-Amity Hills appellation towards Chardonnay. This wine comes from a unique section of the estate site in their south block. Aromas of crushed chalk, dried chamomile and saline seaspray minerality frame this wine. The palate is a hint phenolic, with rich ripe nectarine flesh, smoky grilled lemon peel and a savoury edge that comes from a finish of smoky citrus.
93 Points Wine Spectator
Lush and vibrant, with enticing apple and pear flavors that show accents of honey blossoms and apricot as this glides on the silky finish. Drink now through 2026.
93 Points James Suckling
Light butter and baking spice nuances in the aroma lead to vivid, juicy and crisp lemon, green apple and vanilla bean flavors that expand on the palate and linger on the finish. While it's the entry-level Evening Land chardonnay, it should age well mid-term. Drink now or hold.
92 Points Wine Enthusiast
The 2022 Chardonnay Seven Springs Vineyard takes some time in the glass to shake off initial scents of flint and toast to reveal dried apple, beeswax and spicy undertones. The palate is understated and savory, offering textural breadth that extends its honey-nut flavors on the finish. It will benefit from 2-3 years in bottle.

Winemaker Note
Our Seven Springs Chardonnay comes from a unique section in the south block of our estate vineyard. This high elevation block has excellent soil drainage and exposure to the cooling influence of the Van Duzer Corridor. The wine underwent whole cluster pressing before being racked to once-used french barriques and Stockinger puncheons for fermentation. The wine completed 6 months élevage in barrel and 1 month in tank prior to bottling.
