Winemaker Notes:
The balance of flavor, tannin, acid, and sugar were as perfect as the winemaker has seen in 29 years.
Critical Acclaim:
92-James Suckling
This pinot noir shows such complexity with violets, orchids, orange skin and almonds. Earth and mushrooms, too. Medium body, precise and firm tannins and a cool and exciting finish. Better in 2020.
91-Wine Enthusiast
Both Pommard and Wädenswil clones are in the blend, bringing brambly berry and pretty cherry fruit flavors front and center. Underlying notes of leaf, stem and fruit skin add texture and a touch of clean earthiness.
