92 Points from Robert Parker's Wine A dvocate
From a stony parcel adjacent to Faiveley's Framboisière, the 2017 Mercurey Blanc Clos Rochette is showing very well indeed, wafting from the glass with scents of citrus oil, spring blossom, nutmeg and pastry cream. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with a delicately textural attack, excellent cut and concentration and a chalky finish. It will be well worth seeking out.
92 Points from James Suckling
Very flinty and original, rather than fruity, for a modestly priced white Burgundy. This is sleek and racy with a cascade of minerals at the crisp finish. Very food-friendly. Drink or hold.
This wine reveals exceptionally complex aromas and a fresh nose offering white flowers and spices. The lively attack gives way to a smooth, oily palate thanks to its oak ageing. The flavors and aromas combine harmoniously resulting in a beautifully elegant wine.
