6:30 p.m. and every Friday from Educational
classes are offered most Tuesday evenings throughout the year. Classes
begin at 7 p.m. and range from Class Cancellation

The Vintage Wine Shoppe delivers wine and gifts in the Birmingham, Alabama metro area for a nominal charge. We can ship gifts and gift baskets without wine anywhere in the world, but there are some restrictions on shipping wine outside the continental U.S. and to some states. To have your
gift or baskets delivered by a desired date please keep in mind
the shipping and delivery time (1 - 3 days for most) and the time
it takes to construct baskets. During the primary gift giving holidays
(particularly Christmas, New Year's, and Mother's Day) the volume
of basket orders is such that it may take a few days for your order
to be completed and shipped. Gift Certificates
are available in any dollar amount for wine or merchandise. Gift
Certificates for classes are also very popular. All gift certificates
issued expire one year from date of purchase. The Vintage Wine Shoppe offers private wine and cheese tastings conducted by a member of our staff after hours in the store or at your desired location starting at $150 (not including wine or cheese) for a two-hour event. Private tastings usually consist of 6 - 8 wines and 2 - 4 cheeses, and can be conducted in a number of formats with countless themes (Best of Italy, Great Appellations, Odd Varietals, etc.). If you are considering
a private tasting it is imperative that you call us well in advance

Your needs will vary based on such factors as number of courses served during a meal to what other beverages will be served at a party or reception. The numbers that follow are simply a general range of possible needs and are not meant to be specific guidelines for any particular event. At large parties
it is best to have a bartender pour approximately 2 ½ to
3 ½ ounces per glass so that wine will not Sparkling wine
poured for toasts into flute-style glasses may be 2 - 4 ounces which

of both in stock every day. You can also choose from a dynamic selection
of The Bridal Registry is also a good way to start (or enhance) your collection of fine wines. You can register for specific wines or let us recommend an exciting selection of great wines from around the world. Printed cards are available to include in invitations to parties and showers to let your guests know you are registered at The Vintage Wine Shoppe. Dated cards are included with your gifts to facilitate exchanges. Exchanges of gift items are allowed for six months from the time the gift is purchased. No exchanges are allowed on wine. Come in any
time to complete your wish list or make an appointment for a personal
consultation. Receive a free gift complements of The Vintage Wine
