Cheese has been a natural accompaniment to wine for centuries and our eclectic and dynamic selection is hand picked to represent many tastes and textures and to complement every style of wine.

Firm/Hard Cheeses

  • Grana Padano, Stravecchio Oro del Tempo (Italy): An intense and complex cheese aged for 22 months that is more regulated (for quality) than its more famous cousin - Parmigiano Reggiano.
  • Extra Aged Gouda (Holland): Eighteen months of aging gives this fine Gouda an intense caramel/butterscotch flavor and slightly granular texture.
  • Old Amsterdam (Holland): This cow's milk cheese exhibits a near perfect balance of firm texture, robust flavor, and rich, smooth finish.
  • Postel (Belgium): A firm yet rich cow's milk cheese aged for 12 months that has hints of clove and nutmeg.
  • Dubliner (Ireland): A famous cheese often described as a perfect mix of mature cheddar and Parmigiano Reggiano.

Soft/Semi-Soft Cheeses

  • Fontal (Italy): Rich, soft pasteurized cow's milk cheese with a nutty flavor and slightly sweet aftertaste.
  • Boilie (Ireland): Two day old hand-rolled cow's milk cheese with herbs and garlic preserved in sunflower oil.
  • Ridder (Norway): A rich, creamy cheese with a ton of flavor that some consider the best in Norway.
  • Le Marechal (Switzerland): An herbal and rustic cow's milk cheese rubbed with Herbs de Provence and aged for five months.

Flavored Cheeses

  • Malagon with Rosemary (Spain): A Manchego-like sheep's milk cheese with rosemary pressed into the rind which imparts a fresh herbal flavor.
  • Pyrenees Vache with Green Peppercorns (France): A rich, springy textured cheese with crushed green peppercorns that provide a clean, peppery flavor.
  • Beemster with Mustard (Holland): A rich, mild cheese that is brought to life by the addition of spicy Dutch mustard.

Layered Cheeses

  • Huntsman (England): Smooth Double Gloucester with layers of Blue Stilton made from pasteurized cow's milk.
  • Saxonshires (England): Also known as "Five Counties" in reference to the five layers of different cheeses - Double Gloucester, Caerphilly, Cheshire, Leicester, and Cheddar.

Blue Cheeses

  • Roaring Forties Blue (Australia): A smooth, creamy pasteurized cow's milk blue from Down Under.
  • Great Hill Blue (Massachusetts): A great full-flavored, smooth blue cheese with a crumbly texture.
  • Point Reyes Original Blue (California): The steady Pacific breezes impart a distinct sea salt quality to this creamy cow's milk blue cheese.

Sheep's Milk Cheeses

  • ReNero Pecorino Stagionato (Italy): This savory, firm, full-flavored Pecorino was aged for three months.
  • Oro Antico Riserva (Italy): This tasty Pecorino was rubbed with olive oil and aged in a stone cellar for six months.
  • Idiazabal (Spain): Idiazabal has a rich, buttery flavor with a smoky quality from aging in stone chimneys.

Goat's Milk Cheeses

  • Dorothea (Holland): Dorothea is a pasteurized cheese made with potato skins and aged for over 60 days.
  • Buche Chevre (France): This is a creamy, soft goat's milk cheese with lots of flavor and a pleasant tangy acidity.
