2015 Bordeaux Futures
Finally!! 2015 En Primeur in Bordeaux has begun! More wines will be added in the coming days and weeks. The 2015 vintage is easily the most anticipated vintage since 2010. Prices are very good, so if you ever wanted to buy Bordeaux on Futures, this is a great time.
With Bordeaux Futures, any order you place must first be confirmed by our distributor. All orders are tentative until you receive confirmation from The Vintage Wine Shoppe. You pay for the wine now, but the wine will not be here for two years. The two reasons to buy Futures are that you get the lowest price, and more importantly, you actually get the wine you want. If a wine sells out on Futures, then there will not be any available in stores for you to buy in two years when the wine is released.
Please note that there are some minimum purchasing requirements.

"Bordeaux 2015, Best Vintage Since 2010" Wine Spectator
"After tasting about 1,300 Bordeaux 2015 in France, my team and I concluded that the 2015 vintage has lived up to its great potential in every sense of the word. Red, white or sweet, the wines show wonderful harmony, intensity, structure and freshness. Exciting and exquisite, the best of 2015s benefit enormously from this freshness quality, which derives from the slightly higher acidity and lower alcohol levels. In comparison to the wines produced in other highly rated years, such as 2009 and 2010, the 2015 vintage’s new gained freshness helps carve out a classic structure and form." James Suckling
"2015 is an excellent vintage. Across the region, the wines do not possess the consistency demonstrated by 2009 or 2010 at this stage, though you could argue that it might pip the quality of 2005 due to subsequent advances in technology and know-how. Certainly, I cannot remember the 2005s displaying such fine tannin, although they did show more density and structure out of barrel."
